Hyatt Privé: VIP Benefits & How to Book
Hyatt Privé in 30 seconds: Hyatt Privé is Hyatt's invitation-only program that adds VIP benefits - a room upgrade confirmed within 24 hours of booking, daily breakfast for two, a property credit for dining or spa - typically USD 50-100 per stay, set by each hotel and priority early check-in and late check-out - to paid stays booked through an authorized travel advisor such as Stars Desk, at the same flexible rate published on Hyatt.com. It cannot be booked online, costs nothing extra, and does not apply to award (points) stays. There is no public Hyatt Prive login - your advisor books it, and the reservation appears in your World of Hyatt account.
Book Park Hyatt, Andaz, Miraval, Thompson, Alila, The Standard or any of the 401 participating Hyatt hotels through Stars Desk and unlock complimentary upgrades, daily breakfast, a hotel credit and VIP recognition - at the same flexible rate as Hyatt.com.
What is Hyatt Privé?
Hyatt Privé is Hyatt's invitation-only luxury travel program - not a membership you join, a loyalty tier, or a paid club. It is an advisor-booked rate program: you access its VIP benefits only by booking a participating Hyatt hotel through an authorized Privé travel advisor such as Stars Desk. The rate is identical to the best flexible rate on Hyatt.com, with no membership fee, no minimum spend, and any credit card accepted.
The added VIP perks are funded by the participating hotel as part of Hyatt's relationship with select advisors - which is why the program is invitation-only and limited to a small number of agencies globally. As of 2026, the benefit set and participating-brand list below reflect the current program terms.
Privé spans Hyatt's full luxury and lifestyle portfolio, including Park Hyatt, Andaz, Alila, Thompson Hotels, Miraval Resorts, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Destination by Hyatt, JdV by Hyatt, Hyatt Centric, and select Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency properties, plus the lifestyle brands that joined Hyatt more recently - The Standard and StandardX, Bunkhouse Hotels (Hotel Saint Cecilia, Hotel Saint Augustine, Hotel San Cristóbal) and Dream Hotels. It also extends to the all-inclusive brands Hyatt Ziva, Hyatt Zilara, Zoëtry, Secrets, Impression by Secrets and Dreams - part of the Hyatt Inclusive Collection. As of August 2026 the program counts 401 participating hotels in 70 countries and territories; the request form below lists every one of them.
Hyatt Privé Benefits at Standard Hotels
At Park Hyatt, Andaz, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, Thompson, Alila, JdV, The Unbound Collection, Destination and Miraval properties, every Hyatt Privé booking through Stars Desk includes:
Room & Stay
- Complimentary room upgrade - confirmed within 24 hours of booking, subject to availability (room-to-room or suite-to-suite, one category)
- Daily breakfast for two - full restaurant breakfast (or in-room dining where available) per bedroom, every day
- Priority early check-in and late check-out - confirmed in advance when possible
- Priority for connecting rooms - useful for families and groups
- Free WiFi at participating properties
Recognition & Credit
- Personalized welcome amenity and a signed letter from the General Manager
- VIP guest recognition throughout your stay
- Property credit for dining, spa, golf or activities - typically USD 50-100 per stay, set by each hotel. A few Hyatt Centric hotels, mostly in the Caribbean and Latin America, carry a reduced USD 25-50 credit or none at all; your advisor confirms the exact amount before you book
- World of Hyatt points and elite-night credit earned in full - Privé rates count as paid stays
All upgrade, check-in/out and connecting-room benefits are subject to availability at the time of booking or arrival. Property-credit amounts and minimum-night requirements vary by hotel.
Hyatt Privé Minimum-Stay Rules by Brand
One of the most useful things to know before you book: whether your hotel requires a minimum stay for Privé benefits. The rule is set by brand tier.
| Minimum stay | Brands |
|---|---|
| No minimum | Park Hyatt, Andaz, Miraval, Thompson |
| 2 nights | Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, Alila, JdV by Hyatt, The Unbound Collection, Destination by Hyatt |
We have verified the no-minimum rule across all 20 participating Thompson hotels. Individual properties occasionally vary, and newer additions such as The Standard and Bunkhouse are confirmed per hotel - your advisor confirms the exact rule for your hotel and dates.
Hyatt Privé Benefits at All-Inclusive Resorts
Because all-inclusive resorts already include meals, drinks and many activities in the rate, Privé delivers a different benefit set at the participating Hyatt Inclusive Collection resorts - Hyatt Ziva, Hyatt Zilara, Zoëtry, Secrets, Impression by Secrets and Dreams:
- USD 100 property credit per stay (or local equivalent - varies by property)
- Personalized welcome amenity and welcome letter
- Priority for early check-in and late check-out
- Priority for connecting rooms
- Free WiFi
Note: daily breakfast and room upgrades are not part of the all-inclusive Privé set - breakfast is already included, and upgrades are handled through resort-specific promotions rather than Privé.
Hyatt Privé vs World of Hyatt Globalist - Do You Still Need Status?
If you are already a World of Hyatt Globalist, what does Privé add? The short answer: Privé and Globalist stack, and most Globalist members book Privé rates whenever the hotel and rate code allow.
| Benefit | World of Hyatt Globalist | Hyatt Privé booking |
|---|---|---|
| Room upgrade | At check-in, subject to availability - sometimes none | Confirmed within 24 hrs of booking |
| Suite upgrade awards | 4 per year; usable on Privé bookings | Stack - apply your Globalist award and keep all Privé perks |
| Daily breakfast | Lounge breakfast where a club lounge exists; otherwise restaurant | Full restaurant breakfast for two everywhere |
| Property credit | Not included | Typically USD 50-100 per stay (set by each hotel) |
| Welcome amenity | Not standard | Included, plus a personal note from the GM |
| Award (points) stays | Globalist benefits apply | Not eligible - paid stays only |
Bottom line: paying cash on a flexible rate → book Privé. Redeeming points → Privé does not apply; use a Globalist suite-upgrade award. Not yet Globalist → Privé fills most of the gap. See our guide on stacking Privé with elite status and the World of Hyatt tier breakdown.
Hyatt Privé vs Virtuoso vs AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts
| Feature | Hyatt Privé | Virtuoso | AMEX FHR |
|---|---|---|---|
| Room upgrade | Confirmed within 24 hrs of booking | Often included, varies | At arrival, subject to availability |
| Daily breakfast for two | Included | Usually included | Included |
| Property credit | Typically USD 50-100 per stay | Sometimes | USD 100-200 per stay |
| Card requirement | Any credit card | Any credit card | AMEX Platinum or Centurion only |
| World of Hyatt points | Earned in full | Earned | Earned |
| Works with award (points) stays | No - paid stays only | No | No |
| Where to book | Authorized Privé advisor (Stars Desk) | Virtuoso advisor | AMEX Travel portal |
For most Hyatt loyalists, Privé is the clear choice - it is the only program where the upgrade is confirmed before arrival, and it works with any card. Full breakdown: Hyatt Privé vs Virtuoso vs AMEX FHR.

Is Hyatt Privé Worth It?
Privé is most valuable on three travel patterns:
- One- and two-night Park Hyatt stays. Park Hyatt has no minimum-night requirement, and the property credit alone usually outweighs a single night of breakfast.
- Multi-night family stays at Andaz, Grand Hyatt or Hyatt Regency resorts. Daily breakfast for two compounds quickly - four nights at a resort charging USD 65 per breakfast saves about USD 520 before the credit even applies.
- Anniversaries, honeymoons and milestone trips. The welcome amenity, GM letter and confirmed upgrade meaningfully raise the experience over an unsupported direct booking.

When Hyatt Privé is not worth it
Privé is a strong default for paid luxury stays, but there are four cases where it is the wrong tool:
- Award (points) stays. Privé applies only to paid rates. If you are redeeming World of Hyatt points, book direct and use a Globalist suite-upgrade award instead.
- Deeply discounted prepaid rates. A non-refundable advance-purchase rate can occasionally be cheaper than the flexible rate by more than the value of breakfast plus the credit. Run both numbers - your advisor will show you the comparison.
- Non-participating brands. Hyatt Place, Hyatt House and other select-service brands are not in the program, so there are no Privé benefits to unlock.
- Rates Privé cannot attach to. Member Rate, AAA, corporate and third-party (OTA) bookings do not combine with Privé.
In every other case, booking Privé through Stars Desk costs nothing more than booking direct - so the real question is "why not book Privé?"

Hyatt Privé Login: Why There Is No Public Portal
Searching for a Hyatt Privé login leads nowhere on Hyatt.com - by design. Privé is a trade program: its rates never appear on public booking channels, and there is no consumer account, membership number or password a traveler can create. Pages titled "Hyatt Privé login" belong to travel agencies and open agent-side systems, not traveler accounts.
- Advisor systems. Authorized Privé agencies book through Hyatt's travel-advisor channels. If you are an advisor looking for that access, see Hyatt Privé for travel advisors below.
- Private client portals. Some Privé agencies run self-service portals for their clients. Stars Desk clients can request access to our TravelWits portal, which returns Privé-eligible rates in real time - no email back-and-forth needed to compare dates and properties.
- Your World of Hyatt account. Once a Privé reservation is issued, it appears in your normal World of Hyatt login with the benefits attached - that is the only "login" a traveler ever needs.
How to Find a Hyatt Privé Travel Advisor
Privé is invitation-only and not advertised publicly by Hyatt, so there is no online directory of advisors. Most travelers find theirs through referrals or by checking a few credentials:
- Years in the program. Invitations renew annually based on production; a long-standing advisor has stronger on-property relationships.
- Direct hotel relationships. Strong advisors can request specific room categories and resolve issues directly with on-property contacts rather than call centers.
- Transparency on what is and isn't included. Avoid advisors who promise Privé benefits at non-participating brands or rate codes.

Hyatt Privé for Travel Advisors & Agencies
Hyatt invites agencies, not individuals, into Privé - based on Hyatt production volume and service standards, with the invitation reviewed annually. There is no public application form and no agent login you can simply sign up for: an advisor gains Privé access by working with, or affiliating under, an agency that already holds the invitation.
Independent advisors: Stars Desk operates a luxury host program for advisors who want to book five-star hotel programs under an established accreditation, where each program's terms allow. An Advisor's Honest Take
- Privé is not every Hyatt. The participating list is luxury-weighted and has real gaps in some cities. If your hotel is not on it, we will say so and check whether Virtuoso or another program covers it instead.
- Sometimes the prepaid rate wins. On deeply discounted advance-purchase rates, the savings can occasionally beat breakfast plus the credit. We run both numbers and show you the comparison before you commit.
- The credit is not uniform. Most hotels give USD 50-100 per stay; a few Hyatt Centric properties in the Caribbean and Latin America give USD 25-50 or nothing. We tell you the exact figure for your hotel up front rather than quoting the program maximum.
- The upgrade is one category, confirmed within 24 hours. That is the honest promise - nobody can guarantee a specific suite at booking. Be cautious with anyone who promises more than the program terms.
Hyatt Privé Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Hyatt Privé program?
Hyatt Privé is Hyatt's invitation-only luxury booking program for travel advisors. It is not a membership travelers join, a loyalty tier, or a paid club - you access its VIP benefits only by booking a participating Hyatt hotel through an authorized Privé advisor such as Stars Desk, at the same flexible rate published on Hyatt.com.
What does “Privé” mean and how is it different from World of Hyatt?
“Privé” is French for “private.” World of Hyatt is the free loyalty program any guest can join to earn points and status. Hyatt Privé is separate: it is an advisor-booked rate program that layers VIP perks - a confirmed upgrade, breakfast and a property credit - on top of whatever World of Hyatt status you already hold. The two stack.
How do you get invited to Hyatt Privé?
Invitations go to travel agencies, not travelers. Hyatt extends Privé membership to a small number of high-producing luxury agencies based on booking volume and service standards, and the invitation renews annually. As a guest you do not need an invitation of your own - you simply book through an agency that already holds one, such as Stars Desk.
Which Hyatt hotels participate in Hyatt Privé?
Privé covers Hyatt's luxury and lifestyle portfolio: Park Hyatt, Andaz, Alila, Thompson, Miraval, The Unbound Collection, Destination by Hyatt, JdV by Hyatt, Hyatt Centric, and select Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency properties, plus The Standard, StandardX, Bunkhouse and Dream hotels - and the all-inclusive brands Hyatt Ziva, Hyatt Zilara, Zoëtry, Secrets, Impression by Secrets and Dreams from the Hyatt Inclusive Collection. As of August 2026 that is 401 hotels in 70 countries and territories. Browse the full participating list to confirm a specific property.
What is the most luxurious Hyatt brand?
Park Hyatt is Hyatt's flagship luxury brand, with Alila and Miraval close behind, and Impression by Secrets at the top of the all-inclusive side. All of them participate in Hyatt Privé, and Park Hyatt, Alila (2-night minimum) and Miraval are where the confirmed upgrade and property credit deliver the most value.
What benefits come with Hyatt Privé bookings at Park Hyatt and luxury hotels?
At standard Privé hotels: a complimentary room upgrade confirmed within 24 hours of booking, daily breakfast for two, a property credit for dining, spa or activities (typically USD 50-100 per stay, set by each hotel), priority early check-in and late check-out, a welcome amenity and personal note from the General Manager, free WiFi, and priority for connecting rooms.
Does Hyatt Privé include free breakfast?
Yes. At every participating standard Privé hotel you receive full restaurant breakfast for two guests per bedroom, every day of your stay. Where a club lounge exists, Globalist members may still choose lounge breakfast, but Privé entitles you to the restaurant breakfast regardless of status.
How much is the Hyatt Privé property credit?
Typically USD 50-100 per stay, set by each participating hotel and applied to dining, spa, golf or activities. Hyatt Inclusive Collection all-inclusive resorts give a USD 100 credit. The exception is a small group of Hyatt Centric hotels, mostly in the Caribbean and Latin America, that carry a reduced USD 25-50 credit or no credit at all - the other Privé benefits still apply there. Stars Desk confirms the exact amount for your hotel before you book.
Are Hyatt Privé benefits the same at all-inclusive resorts like Hyatt Ziva or Secrets?
No. Because meals and most activities are already in the room rate, the all-inclusive Privé set is: a USD 100 property credit, a welcome amenity, priority early check-in and late check-out, priority for connecting rooms, and free WiFi. Daily breakfast and a room upgrade are not part of the all-inclusive Privé package.
Do I need a minimum stay to receive Hyatt Privé benefits?
It depends on the brand. Park Hyatt, Andaz, Miraval and Thompson have no minimum-stay requirement - we have verified this across all 20 participating Thompson hotels. Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, Alila, JdV by Hyatt, The Unbound Collection and Destination by Hyatt generally require a minimum two-night stay. Your advisor confirms the exact rule for your property and dates.
Is it cheaper to book directly through Hyatt, or through Hyatt Privé?
The Privé rate matches Hyatt's best flexible rate, so it is usually the same price as booking direct - but with breakfast, a property credit and a confirmed upgrade added at no extra cost. A non-refundable prepaid rate or a points stay can be cheaper, but it includes none of those perks. For a flexible cash booking, Privé is the better value almost every time.
Do I earn World of Hyatt points on Hyatt Privé bookings?
Yes. Privé rates are paid, qualifying stays, so you earn full World of Hyatt base points, elite-night credit and any active promotion bonuses. Discoverist, Explorist and Globalist benefits all apply on top of the Privé perks.
Can World of Hyatt Globalist members book Hyatt Privé rates?
Yes - and the benefits stack. As a Globalist booking Privé you get the confirmed upgrade at the time of booking and keep your Globalist suite-upgrade awards usable on the same reservation. You also receive Privé restaurant breakfast plus the welcome gift and property credit. For any overlapping benefit, you receive the better of the two.
Is Hyatt Privé better than Virtuoso?
For Hyatt hotels, usually yes. Both programs include daily breakfast and similar VIP amenities, but Privé confirms your room upgrade within 24 hours of booking, while Virtuoso upgrades remain subject to availability at check-in. Many Hyatt properties participate in both programs - your advisor compares the two rates for your dates and books whichever is stronger. For non-Hyatt hotels, Virtuoso is the broader program.
How does Hyatt Privé compare to AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts (FHR)?
Both deliver similar VIP perks. The key differences: AMEX FHR requires The Platinum Card or Centurion, while Privé works with any credit card; and Privé confirms your upgrade within 24 hours of booking, whereas FHR upgrades are typically confirmed only at arrival.
Can Hyatt Privé be combined with other Hyatt promotions?
Often, yes. Privé benefits can usually combine with active Hyatt offers such as Third Night Free and seasonal packages. Privé does not combine with the Member Rate, AAA, corporate, advance-purchase prepaid rates, third-party rates or award (points) stays.
Is there an extra fee to book a Hyatt Privé rate?
No fee from Hyatt - the Privé rate matches the best flexible rate on Hyatt.com - and Stars Desk does not add a service fee for Hyatt Privé bookings.
Can Hyatt Privé benefits be added to an existing reservation?
Sometimes. If you booked direct at a flexible or standard rate, an advisor may be able to attach Privé benefits, subject to hotel approval. Contact Stars Desk promptly with your confirmation number and we will check eligibility.
How do I book a Hyatt Privé rate?
Send Stars Desk your destination, dates and party size through the request form. We reply within one business day with Privé-eligible rates, the included benefits and current promotions, then send a secure payment link that accepts any credit card. Your reservation is booked directly with Hyatt and appears in your World of Hyatt account.
Can I book Hyatt Privé rates myself online?
Not on Hyatt.com - Privé rates never appear on public booking channels. Some Privé agencies run private client portals: Stars Desk clients can request access to our TravelWits portal to compare Privé-eligible rates in real time. The reservation itself is always issued by an authorized Privé advisor - Stars Desk is a Hyatt Privé Top Performer agency.
Is there a Hyatt Privé login for travelers?
No. Hyatt Privé has no consumer login, membership number or public portal - rates are accessed only through authorized travel advisors. Stars Desk clients who want to self-search can request access to our TravelWits portal, and once booked, the reservation appears in your regular World of Hyatt account with the benefits attached.
Does Costco Travel include Hyatt Privé benefits?
No. Costco Travel sells packaged vacations under its own program and is not part of Hyatt Privé. A Costco package may bundle its own extras, but the Privé set - confirmed upgrade, daily breakfast for two and the property credit - applies only to reservations issued by an authorized Privé advisor.
Is Hyatt more high-end than Marriott?
At the top end they compete closely. Hyatt's luxury tier - Park Hyatt, Alila, Miraval, Impression by Secrets - is smaller but consistently premium, while Marriott fields more luxury flags (Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, EDITION, Luxury Collection). Both run invitation-only advisor programs: Hyatt Privé and Marriott STARS & Luminous. See our full Hyatt vs Marriott comparison and the Big 5 luxury program comparison.
Does Hyatt Privé run special offers like a free night?
Yes, periodically. Participating hotels layer Privé on top of promotions such as third or fourth night free and seasonal resort credits, and these can usually be combined with the standard Privé benefits. Current deals are collected on our Hyatt Privé exclusive offers page.
