What is Hyatt Privé?
Hyatt Privé is Hyatt's invitation-only luxury travel program - not a membership you join, a loyalty tier, or a paid club. It is an advisor-booked rate program: you access its VIP benefits only by booking a participating Hyatt hotel through an authorized Privé travel advisor such as Stars Desk. The rate is identical to the best flexible rate on Hyatt.com, with no membership fee, no minimum spend, and any credit card accepted.
The added VIP perks are funded by the participating hotel as part of Hyatt's relationship with select advisors - which is why the program is invitation-only and limited to a small number of agencies globally. As of 2026, the benefit set and participating-brand list below reflect the current program terms.

Is Hyatt Privé Worth It?
Privé is most valuable on three travel patterns:
- One- and two-night Park Hyatt stays. Park Hyatt has no minimum-night requirement, and the property credit alone usually outweighs a single night of breakfast.
- Multi-night family stays at Andaz, Grand Hyatt or Hyatt Regency resorts. Daily breakfast for two compounds quickly - four nights at a resort charging USD 65 per breakfast saves about USD 520 before the credit even applies.
- Anniversaries, honeymoons and milestone trips. The welcome amenity, GM letter and confirmed upgrade meaningfully raise the experience over an unsupported direct booking.
When Hyatt Privé is not worth it
Privé is a strong default for paid luxury stays, but there are four cases where it is the wrong tool:
- Award (points) stays. Privé applies only to paid rates. If you are redeeming World of Hyatt points, book direct and use a Globalist suite-upgrade award instead.
- Deeply discounted prepaid rates. A non-refundable advance-purchase rate can occasionally be cheaper than the flexible rate by more than the value of breakfast plus the credit. Run both numbers - your advisor will show you the comparison.
- Non-participating brands. Hyatt Place, Hyatt House and other select-service brands are not in the program, so there are no Privé benefits to unlock.
- Rates Privé cannot attach to. Member Rate, AAA, corporate and third-party (OTA) bookings do not combine with Privé.
In every other case, booking Privé through Stars Desk costs nothing more than booking direct - so the real question is "why not book Privé?"

Do I earn World of Hyatt points on Hyatt Privé bookings?
Yes. Privé rates are paid, qualifying stays, so you earn full World of Hyatt base points, elite-night credit and any active promotion bonuses. Discoverist, Explorist and Globalist benefits all apply on top of the Privé perks.
Can World of Hyatt Globalist members book Hyatt Privé rates?
