Crystal Cruises today, at a glance
Crystal is owned by A&K Travel Group – a joint venture of Abercrombie & Kent and the Lefebvre family’s Heritage Group – which acquired the brand and its two ocean ships in 2022 and relaunched the line in 2023. Today Crystal is an ocean-only line sailing two all-suite ships, Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, with three new ocean ships on order. It should not be confused with the former Genting-era operator that ceased in 2022, the discontinued Crystal river fleet, or other luxury lines such as Silversea or the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

As a guide, a 7-night voyage runs about $3,000–$6,000 per person and a 14–20 night voyage about $7,000–$12,000 per person; grand and world voyages climb well beyond that (Crystal’s 135-night 2026 World Cruise started from $84,000 per person).

Did Crystal Cruises go out of business - is it still operating?
Crystal did enter bankruptcy in 2022 when its former parent company failed, but it did not disappear. Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group bought the brand and both ocean ships, refitted them, and resumed sailing in 2023. Crystal is fully operating today and has three new ocean ships on order with Fincantieri.

Yes. Crystal Serenity is the larger ship at 740 guests, with the most space per guest of the two and a slightly wider range of venues; Crystal Symphony is the more intimate at 606 guests after its refit. Both share the same all-inclusive service, butler-in-every-suite standard and Umi Uma by Nobu Matsuhisa - the choice comes down to itinerary and preferred ship size.
