What is Proper Preferred?
Proper Preferred is the preferred-partner program of Proper Hospitality, the Los Angeles based group behind the design-led Proper Hotels, the resort landmarks of By Proper (Montauk Yacht Club and The Shelborne in Miami Beach) and The Collective lifestyle hotels (Hotel June, Avalon Hotels, The Culver Hotel and others). It is not a loyalty club you join and it has no public sign-up: the added benefits are unlocked only when a participating hotel is booked through an authorized travel advisor such as Stars Desk.
The rate is the same flexible rate published on properhotel.com. The benefits are funded by the hotel as part of its relationship with preferred advisors - which is why they cost you nothing. Unlike the big-chain programs (Hyatt Privé, Marriott STARS), Proper Preferred covers a compact, all-American portfolio: California, Texas, Florida and New York, 13 hotels in total.
