Hyatt Privé is Hyatt's exclusive luxury travel program, designed to deliver discerning travelers VIP recognition, exceptional value and personalized service at participating Hyatt luxury and lifestyle hotels worldwide. Privé is invitation-only — it cannot be joined or booked directly by consumers. You access Hyatt Privé benefits by booking through an authorized Privé travel advisor such as Stars Desk.

The rate is identical to the best flexible rate on Hyatt.com. There is no membership fee, no minimum spend, and any credit card may be used. The added VIP perks are funded by the participating hotel as part of Hyatt's relationship with select advisors — which is why the program is invitation-only and limited to a small number of agencies globally.

  • If you are paying cash and the rate is flexible, book Privé. You get the confirmed upgrade at booking, restaurant breakfast and the property credit on top of every Globalist benefit.
  • If you are redeeming points, the Privé program does not apply. Use a Globalist suite upgrade award if available.
  • If you are a Discoverist or Explorist (not yet Globalist), Privé fills most of the gap — and is one of the strongest reasons not to chase status purely for hotel perks.

Is Hyatt Privé Worth It?

Privé is most valuable on three travel patterns:

  • One- and two-night Park Hyatt stays. The Park Hyatt brand has no minimum-night requirement for Privé, and the property credit alone usually outweighs a single night of breakfast.
  • Multi-night family stays at Andaz, Grand Hyatt or Hyatt Regency resorts. Daily breakfast for two compounds quickly — a 4-night stay at a resort that charges USD 65 per breakfast saves USD 520 of out-of-pocket spend before the property credit even applies.
  • Anniversaries, honeymoons and milestone trips. The welcome amenity, GM letter and confirmed upgrade meaningfully raise the experience versus an unsupported direct booking.

Privé is less valuable on point redemptions (it does not apply), AAA-rate-eligible bookings (the AAA discount can be larger than the value of Privé perks), and on the rare nights when a Globalist member already has a confirmed suite upgrade award applied. In every other case, booking Privé through Stars Desk costs nothing more than booking direct — so the question becomes "why not book Privé?" rather than the other way around.

How to Find a Hyatt Privé Travel Advisor

Hyatt Privé is invitation-only, and the program is not advertised publicly by Hyatt. There is no online directory of Privé advisors, so most travelers find their advisor through referrals or by checking a few credentials:

  • Years in the program. Privé invitations are renewed annually based on production. An advisor in good standing for multiple years has a better relationship with on-property managers.
  • Direct hotel relationships. Strong Privé advisors can request specific room categories, secure suite upgrades when availability is tight, and resolve issues directly with on-property contacts rather than through reservations call centers.
  • Transparency on what is and is not included. Avoid advisors who promise Privé benefits at non-participating brands or rate codes. The brands and benefit set are listed above in this page.
